Dodgers vs. Marlins MLB Pick – August 14th

Even the Los Angeles Dodgers made easy work of the Miami Marlins on Tuesday Using a beatdown of 15-1.

There’s not any mercy rule in Major League Baseball, but I think the Marlins needed to throw in the towel shortly following the Dodgers put together another big inning in the 9th.
Even with a 11-1 lead, the Dodgers kept the beating going with 4 runs to cash in a simple victory. Matt Beaty had a standout night, since he led the Dodgers with 4 RBI’s on the evening. Rookie Dustin May had yet another solid performance as well. May allowed only 3 hits and 1-run over 5.2 innings of playwith.
May is not going away anytime soon. He is going to be next in line to be the next Dodgers’ superstar member of this spinning. May is the top pitching prospect in their system and it has been evident pretty fast in his profession. He might become a fairly valuable weapon for the Dodgers from the postseason.
Even though he does not produce the postseason rotation, the Dodgers will direct to him from the bullpen to have some outs. It is looking as the Dodgers will likely soon be using Ross Stripling from the bullpen instead of May, though. That includes Rich Hill who has been hurt too. With May creating, he can observe a role for a reliever in October. That is scary to think with the luxury of Stripling and Hill from the bullpen.
Clayton Kershaw was originally scheduled to pitch , but Dave Roberts gave him an extra day off to rest. It worked out brilliantly, as the Dodgers didn’t need Kershaw on Tuesday. He will get his chance. Even the Marlins will counter with Elieser Hernandez, that hopes to stop the bleeding after getting whipped around a night past. Head below to our free Dodgers vs. Marlins pick.

Kershaw probably didn’t mind getting an extra day away and the Dodgers got a big win from the deal. He’ll be back in the saddle Wednesday because the Dodgers look for much more against the Marlins. With a win, the Dodgers will progress into 9-1 in their last ten matches and 81-41 over this season.
Despite facing a potential letdown place last night, the Dodgers were playing their best on Tuesday night in Miami. They’ll be in great hands with Kershaw about the bulge Wednesday. Kershaw goes into tonight with an ERA of 2.77 and a leading 11-2 record. He has been even better lately, using a 2.37 ERA and perfect 3-0 record in his previous three outings.
His victory against the Marlins was well-documented, as he’s held them to a .156 batting average and only 1 home run in 154 at-bats. It’s rather common for pitchers to get success against the Marlins, particularly this season as they’ve been largely horrid in 2019. Miami are 30th in the significant leagues with only 3.64 runs scored per match. I wouldn’t anticipate the Marlins to eclipse their time average in this against Kershaw.
The Dodgers have just observed Eliaser Hernandez in 1 match for a total of 18 at-bats. They did fairly well, with a .400 OBP and 4 runs scored. Matt Beaty, that had been on fire last night, has gone deep on Hernandez. Hernandez is coming off a dominant performance over the Braves, since he gave up only two hits and no runs across 6 innings.
I don’t think he is at a point in his career where he’s always going to do like that, however. There needs to be some regression for him . I am not anticipating another run party for the Dodgers tonight in Miami, but they probably give Kershaw ample conduct service to work with. This looks like a repeat bet nighttime in Miami, with the Dodgers another solid option in the runline.
